In compliance with the UL construction requirements, the Mez
High Temp Access Doors have a 16ga carbon steel plate
built-n on the exposed side to allow for maximum surface
temperature. The fire ratings were determined after the
UL-listed Gasket materials were subjected to testing of
temperatures up to 1500º and 2250º. For insulated
applications, an optional cover plate, with threaded
extension & couplings may be used to facilitate the
